<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-N0FldDkoM8M/Vr9AyVX9VrI/AAAAAAAAEGQ/_GX216ugL7M/s1600/IMG_8505.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-N0FldDkoM8M/Vr9AyVX9VrI/AAAAAAAAEGQ/_GX216ugL7M/s1600/IMG_8505.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>Come and meet Issy Randall, proud owner of The Cupcake Café.</i></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<i style="font-family: inherit;">Issy Randall can bake. No, more than that - Issy can create stunning, mouth-wateringly divine cakes. After a childhood spent in her beloved Grampa Joe's bakery, she has undoubtedly inherited his talent.</i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>When she's made redundant from her safe but dull City job, Issy decides to seize the moment. Armed with recipes from Grampa, and with her best friends and local bank manager fighting her corner, The Cupcake Café opens its doors. But Issy has absolutely no idea what she's let herself in for. It will take all her courage - and confectionery - to avert disaster . . .</i></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
After reading quite a few thrillers/murder mysteries so far this year, I felt like going for something a little 'easier' and more 'girly' to read; then <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Meet-Me-At-Cupcake-Caf%C3%A9/dp/0751544493/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455368787&sr=8-1&keywords=meet+me+at+the+cupcake+cafe">'Meet Me at the Cupcake Café' by Jenny Colgan</a> caught my eye - <i>I mean, the cover is pink and has cakes on it, for god's sake!</i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
The story follows Issy, who has been recently been made redundant, as she tries to start up and maintain as café but is tested along the way by love, family and friends. It's a feel-good, funny and heart-warming tale that has you really routing for Issy to succeed!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_jLyWkFBo7k/Vr9AyKDmalI/AAAAAAAAEGM/SIg2zMrNvW0/s1600/IMG_8497.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_jLyWkFBo7k/Vr9AyKDmalI/AAAAAAAAEGM/SIg2zMrNvW0/s1600/IMG_8497.jpg" /></a></div>
It wasn't hard to like Issy as a character, nor was it surprising when I found myself completely caught up in her - <i>and those surrounding her</i> - story. I also love that different recipes were sprinkled among the pages and all of them sound utterly delicious! </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
'Meet Me at the Cupcake Café' is one of those books that will instantly leave you feeling lovely and gooey inside, plus it'll have you pining for all sorts of baked goods throughout!<br />
<br />
Have you read this book or anything from Jenny Colgan? </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7X55PopbYW0/VrXRdcgL3EI/AAAAAAAAEFk/RU6a_vu7exI/s1600/IMG_8318.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7X55PopbYW0/VrXRdcgL3EI/AAAAAAAAEFk/RU6a_vu7exI/s1600/IMG_8318.jpg" /></a></div>
Have you ever seen a product that looks so damn gorgeous that you want to cherish it forever? I think I have found this with <a href="hhttp://www.yslbeauty.co.uk/on/demandware.store/Sites-ysl-uk-Site/en_GB/Search-Show?q=rouge%20volupte">Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Lipstick in '01 Nude Beige'</a>. I mean, just look at that rose gold packaging with the pretty middle section showing the brand name and <i>dat colour. </i>So. Beautiful.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Even though it's been a year since purchasing this stunning lipstick in <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Yves-Saint-Laurent-Rouge-Volupte-Lipstick_844149/">Boots</a>,<i> </i>I can't help but gush over it. It's by far the most luxurious-looking product I own and at £26, I should expect so too! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'd wanted an YSL lipstick for about a year before buying but was always put off by the price, thinking "it <i>cannot </i>be worth that much!" and never saw the need to treat myself enough. But when I received a £20 voucher for Christmas 2014, I knew exactly what to do with it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pJImRmjtyc8/VrXRdUvKsdI/AAAAAAAAEFo/MJ4iF3_Xt8Q/s1600/IMG_8304.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pJImRmjtyc8/VrXRdUvKsdI/AAAAAAAAEFo/MJ4iF3_Xt8Q/s1600/IMG_8304.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'd had my eye on '01 Nude Beige' since the beginning and after the final swatch in store, it was purchased before you could say "luxury". This colour is a stunning pinky nude that is absolutely perfect for spring, but can be considered an all-year-round-kinda colour; it's not too nude and it's not too pink, plus with some peachy undertones, it's a simply beautiful colour.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This product is also super creamy and an absolute dream to apply. The only thing I would say is that because of the moisturising formula, it sits much better on lips that have been balmed and buffed prior to application, otherwise it can sink in to the dry patches and looks a bit manky. But on smooth and conditioned lips, it's a <i>whole</i> other story. It spreads evenly and is easy to apply, it also lasts for a good few hours before fading and I swear that I can still see some of the colour at the end of the day - <i>but maybe I'm just thinking it that to justify the price, who knows! </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It <i>is </i>an expensive purchase but to anyone that doesn't know whether to make it or not, I'd say 100% do it. This lipstick is a touch of luxury for your lips and a worth-while treat!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Have you tried Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks and if so, what did you think? What other shades are worth trying out?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-43t_v53bULY/Vrzi4Cu_eqI/AAAAAAAAEGA/tmTw4XIGMYM/s1600/IMG_8406.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-43t_v53bULY/Vrzi4Cu_eqI/AAAAAAAAEGA/tmTw4XIGMYM/s1600/IMG_8406.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">As the big V-day is in two days, I thought I'd choose a selection of films to get you in the mood for some lovin', plus one that will make you feel kick ass if you're bah-humbugging the day!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ol>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0332280/">The Notebook.</a> An adaption from <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Notebook-Nicholas-Sparks/dp/0751540471">Nicholas Sparks' novel</a>, this emotional rollercoaster known as a film comes highly recommended when you're in the mood for something <i>girly. </i>Watch as Allie and Noah's whirlwind romance turns in to something deeper in this beautiful and sweet story, but be warned: it'll have you reaching for the tissues!</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0817230/">Valentine's Day.</a> If you're after a film that has a lot of famous names, plenty of laughs, is poignant and heart-warming, this is for you. There is one heck of a line-up, featuring faces such as Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway, Taylor Swift...<i>I could be here a while. </i>This romcom will surely make you feel the love this weekend.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1001508/?ref_=nv_sr_1">He's Just Not That Into You.</a> For those that don't have a man, have been recently hurt by a man or feel always let down by men, watch this now! This flick radiates women-empowerment and will help soothe your man troubles, plus it's </span><i style="font-family: inherit;">real. </i><span style="font-family: inherit;">I don't mean that it's a true story, but it is<i> </i>brutally honest and down-to-earth. It will leave you feeling positive and ready for everything, in a <i>I-don't-need-that-shit</i> kinda way.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0431308/?ref_=nv_sr_1">P.S. I Love You.</a> Another book-adaption that will have you in floods of tears, it's definitely one to watch when you're in a soppy mood. It follows Holly after her husband passes away; only he's not gone forever and soon, pre-empted letters from Gerry start to arrive and take her on the most wonderful and heart-breaking adventures. It's incredibly lovely and heart-warming! Plus, who doesn't love Gerard Butler?</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343660/?ref_=nv_sr_1">50 First Dates</a>/<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386588/?ref_=nv_sr_1">Hitch</a>/<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119738/?ref_=nv_sr_1">My Best Friend's Wedding</a>. Ok, so I might have cheated a teany bit by putting these in one</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"> but as the DVDs are boxed together, I think we can all let it slide this time. Each one of these romcoms is brilliant; from a man trying to win over the love of a woman who loses her short-term memories every night to the guy who knows exactly how to get everyone else their perfect relationship but himself to a girl trying to break up her best friend's engagement because she realises she should be with him instead. They're fun, easy to watch and will definitely have you in barrels of laughter.</span></li>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I'm such a sucker for a romantic film and will be getting cosy with one of these this weekend.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">What films would you suggest watching on Valentine's day? Hope you all have a <i>love</i>ly one!</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>THE END OF THE WORLD IS COMING. PLAY NOW. OR WE ALL LOSE.</i></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>Endgame is here.</i></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>China, Australia, Turkey… Twelve meteors fall. Cities and people burn. The news is full of the end of the world.</i></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>But Sarah, Jago and ten others are already plotting and planning for the fight. They are the Players and Endgame is here.</i></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<i><span style="font-family: inherit;">All but one of them will fail. But that one will </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">save the world. We hope…</span></i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Wow, what a book! <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Calling-Endgame-Book/dp/0007585209/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1454062087&sr=8-3">'The Calling' by James Frey and Nils Johnson-Shelton</a>, book one of the Endgame series, was brilliant!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
The synopsis above from Amazon is pretty on point and therefore, there's not a lot more I can tell you about the story itself; other than the Players are trying to locate the Earth Key, one of three important keys they must obtain to win, throughout. In this novel you will find violence, conflicting feelings, unlikely friendships, puzzles, death, dark humour and mystery.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Jb_RR6iRi60/VrXR1IDP6nI/AAAAAAAAEFw/oI8jCSG2xyw/s1600/IMG_7878.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Jb_RR6iRi60/VrXR1IDP6nI/AAAAAAAAEFw/oI8jCSG2xyw/s1600/IMG_7878.jpg" /></a></div>
Other people have likened it to <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hunger-Games-Suzanne-Collins/dp/1407109081/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454062666&sr=8-1&keywords=the+hunger+games+book">'The Hunger Games'</a> and <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maze-Runner/dp/1909489441/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454062685&sr=8-1&keywords=the+maze+runner+book">'The Maze Runner'</a> and whilst I can see where they're coming from, I still felt this book was unlike anything else I've read and it was thoroughly interesting. The style of writing is intriguing and different, which makes the book easier to read and keeps you on your toes. Plus, it is going to be adapted in to a film which I can't wait to see.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Another aspect to this intriguing book is that there is a puzzle hidden throughout for the reader. To be honest, I'm not the best when it comes to puzzles and therefore, I couldn't see it...<i>buuut, </i>it's there for anyone to give it a try; so best of luck to anyone who reads it and tries!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
'The Calling' was a great start to the series and I'm already excited for <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Endgame-Sky-Key-James-Frey/dp/0062414240/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1454756544&sr=8-2&keywords=endgame">'Sky Key'</a>!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Have you read 'The Calling (Endgame, Book #1)' or anything by James Frey? </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">

<b><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>It was always going to end in tears, but how did it end in murder?</i></span></b><br />
<i style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></i>
<i style="font-family: inherit;">Single mum Jane has just moved to town. She's got her little boy in tow - plus the secret she's been carrying for five years.</i><br />
<i style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></i>
<i style="font-family: inherit;">On the first day of the school run she meets Madeline - a force to be reckoned with, who remembers everything and forgives no one - and Celeste, the kind of beautiful woman who makes the world stop and stare, but is inexplicably ill at ease. They both take Jane under their wing - while careful to keep their own secrets under wraps.</i><br />
<i style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></i>
<i style="font-family: inherit;">But a minor incident involving the children of all three women rapidly escalates: playground whispers become spiteful rumours until no one can tell the truth from the lies.</i><br />
<i style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></i>
<i style="font-family: inherit;">Which is when the secrets come out - and now someone is going to pay with their life...</i><br />
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;">Let me start off by saying that I absolutely </span><i style="font-family: inherit;">loved</i><span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;"> <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Big-Little-Lies-Liane-Moriarty/dp/1405916362/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454061069&sr=8-1&keywords=big+little+lies">'Big Little Lies' by Liane Moriarty</a> and was not disappointed after it followed on from reading <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Husbands-Secret-Liane-Moriarty/dp/1405911662/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454061093&sr=8-1&keywords=the+husbands+secret">'The Husband's Secret'</a> last year; I was instantly captivated and hooked from page one, right until the end.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--aIs238pFZU/VqdV_fvBFAI/AAAAAAAAEFU/Q_zhRWmnj10/s1600/IMG_7701.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--aIs238pFZU/VqdV_fvBFAI/AAAAAAAAEFU/Q_zhRWmnj10/s1600/IMG_7701.jpg" /></a></span></div>
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;">The story follows the parents of a primary school in </span><span style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Australia and how, after one 'incident' on the Induction Day, their scandalous tales are twisted and exaggerated until their annual Trivia night ends in a death. The parents are pitted against each other in their friendship groups and plenty of secrets are revealed throughout, highlighting on the more difficult subjects such as abuse.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Catty parents, funny quips, shocking moments, the feeling that you know the characters and are their friend too; what more can you want from a mystery, chick lit book? It is cleverly written, witty and a definite turn-pager! The main story also has 'present day' police interview quotes from the parents and it plays on the 'whodunnit/what happened' throughout the whole book, which makes it that much more enjoyable. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Liane Moriarty has created another excellent read and I implore everyone to give it a go!</span><br />

Following on from posts <a href="http://amytinson.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/born-pretty-store-earth-tone-eyeshadow.html">here</a> and <a href="http://amytinson.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/born-pretty-store-extremely-thin.html">here</a>, today brings the final review of the products very kindly sent to me by <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store</a>. The last item is the <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/bottle-gourd-sponge-flawless-foundation-beauty-makeup-powder-puff-random-color-p-4526.html">Pro Bottle Gourd Sponge, a.k.a. Powder Puff</a>*. Again, although these items have been sent in exchange for a review, the thoughts and views are completely my own.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I owned a Beauty Blender before but could never fully get on board with it - <i>much to my annoyance, I gave it away and then realised I'd been using it wrong!</i> Having not managed to purchase another, the Sponge on Born Pretty's website definitely called out to me to be tested.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This cute little thing has a wide end, which I use for foundation application and a small pointed end for concealer blending; the smaller end means you can get in to the harder areas like under the eyes and around the nose. After running under water and squeezing it out, the sponge nearly doubles in size and blends makeup perfectly.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-arT5QvRjKE0/VqdTKEJMGmI/AAAAAAAAEE4/Qq8A0-fzlP8/s1600/IMG_7833.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-arT5QvRjKE0/VqdTKEJMGmI/AAAAAAAAEE4/Qq8A0-fzlP8/s1600/IMG_7833.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The blender feels like it's made from quality material, unlike other budget ones I've seen and it gives flawless application; it's the perfect budget sponge and Beauty Blender alternative!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you want to try this Sponge or other bits from <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/makeup-beauty-c-270.html">Born Pretty</a>, I have been given a great offer code for you to use: enter <b>'MATH10'</b> at the checkout to receive <b>10% off</b> your total order. The website is full of some fab finds and offers <b>free shipping worldwide</b>!</div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rHGy1D4pA4s/VqdIYvOEyoI/AAAAAAAAEDY/-lYrv0LcLB0/s1600/IMG_7766.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rHGy1D4pA4s/VqdIYvOEyoI/AAAAAAAAEDY/-lYrv0LcLB0/s1600/IMG_7766.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I’m going to get a bit personal on the blog today and talk about hair removal – <i>just what everyone wants, right?! </i>I have always shaved my legs but the hair seems to grow back at the speed of light and only a few hours after being silky smooth, my skin starts to feel prickly. After reading posts from <a href="http://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2015/05/thoughts-on-epilating.html" target="_blank">Lily Pebbles</a> and <a href="http://www.theonlyones.me/blog/2015/4/29/epilating-my-experiences-and-thoughts?rq=epilator" target="_blank">The Only Ones</a>, I took a cautionary step in to the world of depilating.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Now, I wouldn’t exactly say I’m a wuss when it comes to pain but after hearing some horror stories of epilating, it’s safe to say that I was nervous. However, with the </span><a href="http://www.braun.com/global/female-grooming/silk-epil-epilators/silk-epil-9.html" style="font-family: inherit;" target="_blank">Braun Silk Épil 9</a><span style="font-family: inherit;"> and its special massager, it was nowhere near as bad as expected and I’m sure my body will get more and more used to it over time. Though a warning: the second leg was</span><i style="font-family: inherit;"> hella</i><span style="font-family: inherit;"> more painful than the first!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OYLJ-399dno/VqdIYGIduiI/AAAAAAAAEDc/aadowT9HBL8/s1600/IMG_7767.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OYLJ-399dno/VqdIYGIduiI/AAAAAAAAEDc/aadowT9HBL8/s1600/IMG_7767.jpg" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The results of epilating were clear to see, with my skin (after the redness had subsided!) feeling beautifully smooth and soft. The regrowth is taking longer to appear and the hairs are softer; which definitely makes me feel less self-conscious to show my legs!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">All in all, I’ve enjoyed my first dip in the epilator pool and will be sure to keep you updated as time goes on – </span><i style="font-family: inherit;">if it’s not TMI that is!</i><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Have you ever tried epilating?</span></div>

If you saw this post <a href="http://amytinson.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/born-pretty-store-extremely-thin.html" target="_blank">here</a>, you will know that I was kindly approached by <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/" target="_blank">Born Pretty Store</a> to review some items for them and today's post follows on from that with their <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/colors-shimmer-colors-matt-eyeshadow-palette-earth-tone-eyeshadow-p-16514.html" target="_blank">Earth Tone Eyeshadow Palette</a>*. Before I start, I would like to reiterate that although these items have been sent in exchange for a review, the thoughts and views are completely my own.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As you may already know, I have a bit of a 'thing' for eyeshadow palettes and that was my main thought behind wanting this product. I also adore warm, earthy tones on the eyes and thought the shades looked beautiful; I was definitely not proven wrong. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are 11 shadows, with 4 mattes and 7 shimmers - <i>a healthy mix! - </i>and all are as beautiful as the next (swatches below). They don't have names, which is a shame, but the shades on the bottom row are definitely my favourites. All the colours are easily wearable, though the white and bright orange might not be used as much.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WOx94Z-nbuo/VqdQpwAz9-I/AAAAAAAAEEM/P4AwCXw8TcQ/s1600/IMG_7812.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WOx94Z-nbuo/VqdQpwAz9-I/AAAAAAAAEEM/P4AwCXw8TcQ/s1600/IMG_7812.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7S5zxBTrTVo/VqdQ0jxX5_I/AAAAAAAAEEk/Nl7pUAUR4io/s1600/IMG_7814.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7S5zxBTrTVo/VqdQ0jxX5_I/AAAAAAAAEEk/Nl7pUAUR4io/s1600/IMG_7814.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1R2nfmJLlzQ/VqdQ2BoH4tI/AAAAAAAAEEs/LjUWuuytjH4/s1600/IMG_7820.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1R2nfmJLlzQ/VqdQ2BoH4tI/AAAAAAAAEEs/LjUWuuytjH4/s1600/IMG_7820.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The formula of the shimmers is fantastic and not much of the product is needed to build up a good colour on the lids but the mattes need a lot more work to get a solid colour. However, both types blend well and all compliment each other perfectly. The shadows also last a decent amount of time after application and there isn't any fall down throughout wear. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The packaging isn't half bad either, with it's matte black case and a cover that's gives a satisfying click when closed. It isn't the sturdiest of cases and therefore, I'd be sure to make it secure if taken on any travels. For $6.99 (<i>c. </i>£4.89), it's pretty damn good!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XC0f9hbDg_g/VqdQucm4VkI/AAAAAAAAEEU/RfVjqgOrdfE/s1600/IMG_7791.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XC0f9hbDg_g/VqdQucm4VkI/AAAAAAAAEEU/RfVjqgOrdfE/s1600/IMG_7791.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Overall, this is a beautiful palette that I already can't wait to crack open again and can see it having plenty of use in the future! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you're interested in this Earth Tone Eyeshadow Palette or anything from <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/makeup-beauty-c-270.html" target="_blank">Born Pretty</a>, I have kindly been given an offer code for you wonderful lot! <span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: inherit;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The first disappointing book of 2016 has been found and it's such a shame, as '<a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Third-Wife-Lisa-Jewell/dp/0099559579/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453390921&sr=8-1&keywords=the+third+wife">The Third Wife</a>' was so <i>promising</i>. <span style="font-family: inherit;">Having never read a novel from Lisa Jewell but always hearing plenty of praise, I had high hopes for an interesting page turner and unfortunately found myself having to push hard to even finish it. </span><br />
<br />
The book started off promisingly with a drunk Maya Wolfe being killed by a bus in the middle of the night and Adrian Wolfe (a.k.a. a serial husband) coming to terms with it, all the while trying to keep relations with his previous two families up to scratch and not succeeding. Some dark secrets unfold and relationships unravel throughout, all the while Adrian is questioning if Maya had committed suicide or if it was an accident.<br />
<br />
The whole concept of the story was somewhat difficult to get on board with and was rather confusing at points, the characters were unlikeable and don't even get me started on the ending - <i>I mean, come on!! </i>Also, some of the situations were completely unfeasible, which became more annoying as the book went on. All in all, this was not the great read I'd hoped for and it's definitely not one I'd recommend.<br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>Annnd</i> breathe...<br />
<br />
Now that I've had the mini rant, I don't want to diss the book completely as I'm sure there are plenty of people who have loved it. Therefore, a couple of positives were that I <i>did</i> enjoy reading from the view of different characters and the blackmail theme was quite intriguing, especially when trying to guess who was behind it. Regrettably, it just did not do it for me and I'm sad to say that I was glad to have finished it.<br />
<br />
Have you read 'The Third Wife' or any other of Lisa Jewell's books? If so, what did you think? </div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Dc3Jbk-RnUw/VqDGlPEdzEI/AAAAAAAAECM/yy10mGXBnCY/s1600/FFF%2BTV.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Dc3Jbk-RnUw/VqDGlPEdzEI/AAAAAAAAECM/yy10mGXBnCY/s1600/FFF%2BTV.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love a good TV series and, along with my boyfriend, am constantly getting hooked on new ones. Therefore, I have narrowed down my faves to just five (currently running) shows for this week's Five Friday Favourites and let me tell you, this has been no easy task!!<br />
<br /></div>
<ol>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.netflix.com/watch/70243180?trackId=13752289&tctx=0%2C0%2Cb524d73e-c74f-4df1-8074-ad44a39a6296-22886611" target="_blank">Pretty Little Liars.</a> I'm <i>obsessed </i>with PLL and must have watched the first four seasons back-to-back over the space of a week; after that, waiting for seasons five and six have been excruciating to say the least! The story follows four beautiful girls with <i>so many </i>secrets (but whose fashion senses are impeccable!), as they try to move on from the death of their friend/person-who-made-their-life-hell and soon discover that the unknown person, "A", is refusing to let them do so. This murder mystery/drama has so many amazing twists and turns that you are left guessing throughout the WHOLE DAMN THING! It's a must if you like programs that will shock and amaze. <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1578873/" target="_blank">Pretty Little Liars</a> is currently half way through it's sixth season and yet again, is surprising me with how good it is!</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.netflix.com/watch/80004161?trackId=14170289&tctx=0%2C0%2Cd0da16ff-9e7e-4abd-a9b0-f0007f74da3a-22885989" target="_blank">Brooklyn Nine-Nine.</a> Dave and I have recently started watching <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2467372/?ref_=nv_sr_2" target="_blank">Brooklyn Nine-Nine</a> and are absolutely <i>loving</i> it. There is literally nothing bad I can even say about this show! The characters are brilliant, the jokes are hilarious, the storylines are well thought-out...everything about it is simply fantastic and is one of the best comedy series I've seen to date - <i>providing you enjoy silly sort of comedy, that is!</i> The episodes focus on the bustling lives of a Brooklyn Police precinct, where hilarity and chaos ensues. It's the non-stop, feel good and easy watching program that everyone needs in their lives. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is now on it's third season and you can find the first two on <a href="http://www.netflix.com/WiHome" target="_blank">UK Netflix</a>.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Flowers-for-your-Grave/dp/B00ET13WTM/ref=sr_1_7?s=instant-video&ie=UTF8&qid=1453378396&sr=1-7&keywords=castle" target="_blank">Castle.</a> Castle is another American comedy that swiftly became a favourite after watching the first couple of seasons on <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Prime-Instant-Video/b?node=3280626031" target="_blank">Amazon Prime Instant Video</a>. Richard Castle, a 'ruggedly handsome' and cheeky crime fiction writer, works with and annoys Detective Kate Beckett on various murder mystery cases; ensuring there is plenty of drama, tension and laughter along the way. We particularly love Ryan and Esposito and they're 'old married couple' relationship and quips. If you like tongue-in-cheek humour and good mystery solving, then <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1219024/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1" target="_blank">Castle</a> is definitely for you. After first coming out in 2009, the show is now on it's eight season and although it has had a couple of slow points over the past couple of years, it's certainly back on track and is once again greatly entertaining. </li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460681/" target="_blank">Supernatural.</a> If you're a fan of easy-watching horror, then Supernatural will be right up your street. Watch as the Winchester Boys - <i>you can't not love Dean and Sam</i> - battle ghosts, demons, monsters and all things evil, as well as, dealing with high emotions and on-going close-call deaths. As well as predominantly being a horror series, this show also has many laughs and teary moments. Like with Castle, it's had some dubious seasons (especially in the latter years) but the first few seasons are utterly awesome! <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460681/" target="_blank">Supernatural</a> is on it's eleventh series and still going strong!</li>

This weird, yet wonderful, series probably couldn't be stranger if it tried - <i>though saying that, every year it seems to do just that! - </i>and keeps you hooked, even if you don't want it to! It is definitely not for the faint hearted (with a ton of blood, gore, horror-themes and sometimes even rape) but it's worth sticking with it because the stories and characters are incredibly thought out, with twists that you won't see coming. <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1844624/episodes?season=5&ref_=ttep_ep_sn_pv" target="_blank">American Horror Story</a> is now on it's fifth season, after most recently introducing the wonderful Lady Gaga in 'Hotel' - <i>she's brilliant, by the way.</i> It's the perfect TV to watch around Halloween!</li>

<a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/" target="_blank">Born Pretty</a> recently approached me about collaborating with them by doing some product reviews. After looking around their website and suggesting a few items I'd be interested in, I was very kindly sent three to try. Please note, although these items have been sent in exchange for a review, the thoughts and views are completely my own.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
I will be doing a separate review on each item, starting with the <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/extremely-thin-eyeliner-black-lasting-waterproof-eyeliner-makeup-p-21233.html" target="_blank">Extremely Thin Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black</a>*. Let me start off by saying that I'm not one of those girls that can apply liquid eyeliner perfectly and thus, I rarely use it - <i>I literally am </i>awful<i> at putting the damn stuff on!! </i>But being in the form of a thin pen, I thought this would be a useful product to test out.<br />
<br />
I'm pleased to report that a miraculous thing has happened: I have been able to apply liner much better! I know, shocker,<b> </b>right?! But the thin tip makes applying the product super simple and means I can build up the thickness, instead of having to re-do the lines over and over again!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k0nU5q0bVj0/VqdKdbHZM4I/AAAAAAAAEDs/5UzpEciK4UM/s1600/IMG_7784.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k0nU5q0bVj0/VqdKdbHZM4I/AAAAAAAAEDs/5UzpEciK4UM/s1600/IMG_7784.jpg" /></a></div>
The formula comes out well in solid black and then stays in place for a mighty long time, plus the packaging is rather sweet too! Considering it is priced at $2.99 (that's around £2.10), it's an absolute <i>steal </i>and one of the best liners I've tried!<br />
<br />
Born Pretty's Waterproof Eyeliner Pen is completely wonderful all round and is now my go-to product when doing my eye makeup!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fy1x7vgyneg/VqdKeSG6s_I/AAAAAAAAED8/-fazu_r0P-M/s1600/IMG_7769.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fy1x7vgyneg/VqdKeSG6s_I/AAAAAAAAED8/-fazu_r0P-M/s1600/IMG_7769.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7viXoSRFCbM/VqM_4hCz5hI/AAAAAAAAEDE/Jjt3Gaspaiw/s1600/IMG_7732%2B%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7viXoSRFCbM/VqM_4hCz5hI/AAAAAAAAEDE/Jjt3Gaspaiw/s1600/IMG_7732%2B%25282%2529.jpg" /></a></div>
Every time I see <a href="http://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2014/06/essie-maximillian-strasse-her.html" target="_blank">Lily Pebbles</a> wearing <a href="hhttp://www.essie.com/colors/greens/maximillian-strasse-her.aspx" target="_blank">Essie's 'Maximillian Strasse Her'</a> in <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/WhatIHeartToday" target="_blank">her videos</a>, I always get <i>obsessed</i> with the colour. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
'Maximillian Strasse Her' is a gorgeous grey/green shade that is perfect all year round. Like with all Essie polishes, the formula is top notch and robust enough to stick around all week. Lily was my primary enabler for this and I really couldn't thank her more for introducing me to it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QujOrql3oAA/VqM_QdmoReI/AAAAAAAAEC8/54RCiS7J54Q/s1600/IMG_7752.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QujOrql3oAA/VqM_QdmoReI/AAAAAAAAEC8/54RCiS7J54Q/s1600/IMG_7752.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This beautiful polish definitely has to be one of my favourites of all time and it makes me so happy that it's donning my nails once more.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What do you think to this colour? Do you have any Essie suggestions? </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SuFuVmnKhsk/VqC6MiAEpDI/AAAAAAAAEB8/uiO1qz2zQLA/s1600/The%2BGood%2BGirl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SuFuVmnKhsk/VqC6MiAEpDI/AAAAAAAAEB8/uiO1qz2zQLA/s640/The%2BGood%2BGirl.jpg" width="402" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i><b><br /></b></i></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i><b>I've been following her for the past few days. I know where she buys her groceries, where she has her dry cleaning done, where she works. I don't know the colour of her eyes or what they look like when they're scared. But I will.</b></i></span><br />
<i style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></i>
<i style="font-family: inherit;">Mia Dennett can't resist a one-night stand with the enigmatic stranger she meets in a bar.</i><br />
<i style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></i>
<i style="font-family: inherit;">But going home with him might turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life…</i><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://amytinson.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/a-note-on-goodreads.html" target="_blank">Book 3/50</a> has now been finished and '<a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1848453116?keywords=the%20good%20girl&qid=1452686741&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1" target="_blank">The Good Girl</a>' was nothing like the synopsis suggests. </span><span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;">Yes, there's a one-night stand that goes wrong and yes, it's a thriller as you might </span><span style="color: #333333;">expect</span><span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;"> but I'm not sure the blurb was necessarily 'on point'; that's not to say the book wasn't!</span><br />
<br />
Without giving too much away, the story follows the different accounts on Mia Dennett being kidnapped (including that of the kidnapper, who doesn't actually follow through on the original plan) and how they are all dealing with it. It was unlike anything I have read before and found Mary Kubica's style very interesting.<br />
<span style="color: #333333;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #333333;">The book wasn't quite as fast paced as originally hoped; nonetheless, it was gritty, intriguing and had some great twists. I enjoyed reading from the point of view of the different characters and found myself rooting for those who I originally didn't like. T</span><span style="color: #333333;">he ending also had me in floods of tears, which was definitely unexpected!</span><br />
<br />
Like I said, I don't want to give too much away and therefore, can't really explain why the blurb doesn't really match the book. Though, with that said, I <i>thoroughly</i> enjoyed reading this emotional thriller and would recommend it to anyone who's after something a little bit different.<br />
<br />
Have you read 'The Good Girl'? What did you think? I'm really keen to find out the views of others and looking forward to reading more from Mary Kubica!</div>

ThisWorks To The Rescue!<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BYXvSgnz_3Q/Vo-vQhqtStI/AAAAAAAAD_g/E9nMglGNf-c/s1600/IMG_7552.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BYXvSgnz_3Q/Vo-vQhqtStI/AAAAAAAAD_g/E9nMglGNf-c/s1600/IMG_7552.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Sleep is a massive thing to me. If I don’t get my 6-8 hours, I get cranky - <i>and no-one wants a cranky Amy</i>. </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">This became an apparent problem a short while ago, when sleep was becoming a stranger. It’d take ages to drop off, every two hours were being seen and vivid dreams started up. After a few snappy days, I knew that enough was enough and I’d have to find something that’d whisk me away to the land of nod and allow me to stay there.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I’d heard great things about <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/en_GB/deep-sleep-pillow-talk-set/MUK200010794.html" target="_blank">‘ThisWorks’ Deep Sleep Pillow Talk Set</a> and off I trotted to my nearest <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/en_GB/women/" target="_blank">Space NK</a> with one thing on my list. </span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The Balm and <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/en_GB/deep-sleep-pillow-spray/MUK200008263.html" target="_blank">Pillow Spray</a> came together in one box, although I doubted how much use the spray would get as the balm seemed like it’d be more effective. I rushed back to our flat, already excited for bed time. Later that evening and after an episode of ‘Castle’ we decided to turn in and out came the aforementioned product.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FEdDuHVimvs/Vo-vQ8ql1YI/AAAAAAAAD_k/abx1rB5F9m8/s1600/IMG_7549.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FEdDuHVimvs/Vo-vQ8ql1YI/AAAAAAAAD_k/abx1rB5F9m8/s1600/IMG_7549.jpg" /></a></span></div>
</div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I swirled the balm on my finger and was surprised that it was harder than expected. It took a couple of swirls to get the right amount and then I massaged it on to my temples. The smell was incredible and it felt almost warming once applied. I decided to also give my pillow a spray, so that my body could have full affect of the duo and hopefully, get a good night’s sleep. </span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">

</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">That’s <i>exactly</i> what it did.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">

</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the lavender scented pillow and awoke the next day after having a full 8 hours, feeling utterly calm and relaxed. I’d had the deepest sleep and even my boyfriend said that he found the aromas calming and he, too, found he had a deeper sleep than usual.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">The balm and pillow spray accompanied my sleep every night that followed for the next week!</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"> I certainly can’t deny, ThisWorks Deep Sleep duo has been an absolute life…well, sleep saver. </span></div>

<i><span style="font-family: inherit;">'<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">One of Sarah’s daughters died. But can she be sure which one? </span></span></i><br />
<i style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></i>
<i style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">A year after one of their identical twin daughters, Lydia, dies in an accident, Angus and Sarah Moorcraft move to the tiny Scottish island Angus inherited from his grandmother, hoping to put together the pieces of their shattered lives. </span></i><br />

<i style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">But when their surviving daughter, Kirstie, claims they have mistaken her identity – that she, in fact, is Lydia – their world comes crashing down once again. </span></i><br />

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;">After reading the above synopsis on Amazon, I knew I wanted to read </span><a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ice-Twins-S-K-Tremayne/dp/000745922X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452345561&sr=8-1&keywords=the+ice+twins" style="font-family: inherit;" target="_blank">'The Ice Twins' by S.K. Tremayne</a><span style="color: #333333; font-family: inherit;">. Some reviews claimed the book was chilling, beautifully sad and brilliant and I couldn't agree more.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div style="color: #333333; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Although I originally thought it'd be a 'normal' thriller, it was a pleasant surprise for the novel to turn in to a psychological thriller that was compelling to read and drew me in; so much so, that I ended up reading the whole thing within 24 hours! </span></div>
<div style="margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The characters were well written and the remote Scottish island couldn't have been a more perfect fit for the creepy vibe throughout. There were many twists and turns, which leaves you guessing 'is she Kirstie, is she Lydia?' the whole way through; plus the ending is one that will definitely stick and have you pondering for days to come. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">All in all, this book was an enjoyable page-turner and one that I found impossible to put down. </span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
2016 has been calling for a new monthly section to the blog and here it is: Five Friday Favourites! This week, it's all about nude nails! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As we <i>all </i>know, I have a bit of a love/obsession with nail polishes and one of best to wear is anything leaning towards the natural side of the spectrum. They're easy to apply - <i>and by that, I mean the mistakes aren't so noticeable!</i> -, can be paired with any outfit and look totally chic.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WfrfGdXSm34/VpjnUJEkLGI/AAAAAAAAEBE/JKuMRhFjQqo/s1600/IMG_7647.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WfrfGdXSm34/VpjnUJEkLGI/AAAAAAAAEBE/JKuMRhFjQqo/s1600/IMG_7647.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After whittling down my collection to just five, my favourites are (from left to right):</div>
<br />
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Nails Inc 'Kensington Gore'.</b> A beautiful taupe colour, that looks especially good in the Autumn. Unfortunately, it's not being sold anymore but here's one that's <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nails-Inc-Jermyn-Street-Polish/dp/B0034G5RU0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452859333&sr=8-1&keywords=nails+inc+jermyn+street" target="_blank">very similar</a>.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b><a href="http://www.superdrug.com/Rimmel/Rimmel-Salon-Pro-Nail-Polish-Kate-Moss-Soul-Session-237/p/643450#.VpjgJTb4PFI" target="_blank">Rimmel Salon Pro by Kate 'Soul Session'.</a> </b>With its peachy tones, 'Soul Session' is the warmest shade here and the one I don when going for a softer, more girly look. </li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b><a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/en_GB/doe-my-dear/MUS300025339.html" target="_blank">Smith & Cult 'Doe My Dear'.</a> </b>The newest to the collection and one of my absolute favourites ever. Beautiful bottle, gorgeous colour and perfect formula: could this be my perfect nude? Read my full review <a href="http://amytinson.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/lusting-for-smith-cult.html" target="_blank">here</a> and decide for yourself!</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/CHANEL-LE-VERNIS-Nail-Colour-13ml_6451/" target="_blank">Chanel Le Vernis 'Frenzy'.</a></b> 'Frenzy' is a lighter version of 'Doe My Dear' and another all-time favourite shade. Again, the formula is fabulous and the colour is on point.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b><a href="http://www.superdrug.com/Barry-M/Barry-M-Gelly-Nail-Paint-Lychee/p/612353" target="_blank">Barry M Gelly Hi Shine 'Lychee'.</a></b> Barry M varnishes are all around ace and 'Lychee' is no exception. It's the most cream-coloured nude in my collection and with it's thick 'gel' formula, it's also the most robust in this line up. </li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So there you have it folks, this Friday's five favourite nude nail varnishes!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What are yours? Are there any Five Friday Favourites that you'd like to see?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oO0qOWq_FBU/VpEXjMO97sI/AAAAAAAAD_4/zPn8infYeGg/s1600/IMG_7577.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oO0qOWq_FBU/VpEXjMO97sI/AAAAAAAAD_4/zPn8infYeGg/s1600/IMG_7577.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Back in January last year, I started two reading challenges found on the <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/38802371-amy-tinson" target="_blank">Goodreads website</a>; the first being a personal one of reading 30 Books in 2015 and the second an A-Z Challenge. </span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;">Unfortunately, I didn't quite complete the A-Z Challenge with </span>still<span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"> needing two letters <i>but </i>I did manage to smash my goal of 30 books - <i>go me! </i></span></span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i></i><br /></span></div>
<div style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; font-family: inherit;">The decision to start these challenges was made to motivate me in to reading more and it clearly worked. Plus, it was so. much. fun! I loved working towards some goals and after catching the </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">reading<span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"> </span>challenge<span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"> bug, I know that this year I’ll be able to push even further. It also helps that there are literally hundreds of people that are doing the same kind of things as you and the forums are easy to comment on and update. I particularly found the ‘A-Z’ Forum helpful when finding books to read on the trickier letters! </span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">This year, I am partaking in three - <i>yes, three! - </i>challenges; a personal one of reading <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/17953373-amy-s-50-books-in-2016" target="_blank">50 Books in 2016</a>, an <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/17868930-the-a-to-z-challenge-character-edition" target="_blank">A-Z Challenge: Character Edition</a> and the <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/17630040-i-spy-book-titles-edition-challenge---2016" target="_blank">I-Spy Challenge: Book Titles Edition</a>.</span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Have you ever taken part in a Goodreads Challenge? Are any of you part of a book club? </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y0l1uM_Mxus/VpEeUyc8xMI/AAAAAAAAEAg/Z265f_NxXdQ/s1600/IMG_7622.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y0l1uM_Mxus/VpEeUyc8xMI/AAAAAAAAEAg/Z265f_NxXdQ/s1600/IMG_7622.jpg" /></a></div>
All the sparkle and glitter of the festive season has now been firmly put away for a little while but a beautiful new colour is now adorning my nails; '<a href="http://www.essie.com/colors/plums/virgin-snow.aspx" target="_blank">Virgin Snow</a>' from <a href="http://www.essie.com/latest-collections/winter-2015.aspx" target="_blank">Essie's Winter 2015 collection</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This gorgeous lilac polish is completely unique in the fact that I don't own another one like it and conjures thoughts of a magical snowy wonderland. The formula is quite thin but if you're generous with application, it's not a problem.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FT8syHglWZ0/VpEeU0C6GbI/AAAAAAAAEAY/P1i-cd-uzZk/s1600/IMG_7617.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FT8syHglWZ0/VpEeU0C6GbI/AAAAAAAAEAY/P1i-cd-uzZk/s1600/IMG_7617.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
'Virgin Snow' is a great winter shade and one I'll definitely be reapplying straight away!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Do you like this colour? </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">My name is Amy and I am an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/amytinson1/" target="_blank">Instagram</a> addict.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">If you hadn’t guessed from previous <a href="http://amytinson.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Photography" target="_blank">‘The Life of an Instagram Addict’ posts</a> or from following me on the infamous app, it’s safe to say that I love me some Instagram. Taking a picture, applying a filter and posting is so simple and genius that even the non-photographers among us have a great chance of getting hundreds of </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande" , "lucida sans unicode" , sans-serif; font-size: 15px;">♥</span><span style="font-family: inherit;">'s. F</span><span style="font-family: inherit;">or today’s post, I thought I’d run through my process when uploaded to ‘Insti’, as my boyfriend likes to call it.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Firstly, I actually take a photo using an <a href="http://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone6" target="_blank">iPhone 6</a>; which has a surprisingly awesome camera, especially as you can now tap the screen and choose a focal point. </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">Once whittling down to the chosen photo – </span><i style="font-family: inherit;">yes, I take about 50 before finding the right one #photographerissues</i><span style="font-family: inherit;"> – the filtering process begins. </span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I used to be all over the filters that Instagram provides but after being introduced to the </span><a href="https://vsco.co/store/vscocam" style="font-family: inherit;" target="_blank">VSCO Cam app</a><span style="font-family: inherit;">, that’s my main port of call. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with Insti’s filters, VSCO Cam one’s just have more professional look to them. My usual ‘go to’ filters are F2 and T1; F2 makes the photo more vibrant, whereas T1 has a softer, almost cloudy, feel to it. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: inherit; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XhLIGJVEP_k/VozsmQRQcgI/AAAAAAAAD_E/2QmZeUJ4u5Y/s1600/IMG_7494.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XhLIGJVEP_k/VozsmQRQcgI/AAAAAAAAD_E/2QmZeUJ4u5Y/s1600/IMG_7494.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Once the filter has been applied, I will sometimes edit the photo further by increasing the exposure, saturation and/or sharpness, before saving it to my phone’s camera roll. From here, I may crop the image but prefer to try and get the positioning right when taking the picture.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">After the photo has been zhuzhed up a bit, it gets published with a caption and hashtags for the world to see. I have to admit, I do love it when the ‘likes’ start popping up.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Velvet Orchid is a beautiful, feminine fragrance that I can’t get enough of and have been spritzing all over the festive period. <span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; font-family: inherit;">It is a pricey little thing, with 50ml coming in at £75, but with only needing one or two sprays to last you the whole day – </span><i style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; font-family: inherit;">and I mean the </i><span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; font-family: inherit;">whooole </span><i style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; font-family: inherit;">day!</i><span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; font-family: inherit;"> - it’s worth it. <span style="font-family: inherit;">One of my favourite things to do at Christmas time is get
the festive decorations up and it couldn’t be truer this season, after moving
in with my boyfriend back in October. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span></div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Getting ready for Christmas had been at the forefront of our
minds since getting in to our place and as the time drew nearer, we found
ourselves getting more and more in to the decorating spirit. We managed to pick
quite a few nice and fun pieces, but I’ll let the photos primarily speak for themselves!</span></div>

<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Do you like decorating your house for Christmas? If so, do
you go fun and bright or keep it simple and classy?</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3-YQZBBTcQc/Vm1d8IojvnI/AAAAAAAAD5I/1w_vmpLyKB0/s1600/IMG_7162.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3-YQZBBTcQc/Vm1d8IojvnI/AAAAAAAAD5I/1w_vmpLyKB0/s1600/IMG_7162.jpg" /></a></div>
Christmas movies can be some of the best in the business and there's nothing quite like settling under a blanket on the sofa to watch a festive favourite. With that said, here are my top five favourites to watch during December.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i>
<i><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457939/?ref_=nv_sr_3" target="_blank">The Holiday</a> </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Two ladies who are having a tough time in their life (in particular, their love life) swap homes for Christmas, where they meet new people and find the happiness they needed. This sweet rom com will make you fall in love with it's characters (apart from Jasper, ain't nobody got time for him!), it's locations and the warm, fuzzy feeling it leaves you with. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319343/?ref_=nv_sr_1" target="_blank">Elf</a></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
How could I make a list without mentioning this hilarious comedy?! Buddy gets accidentally transported to the North Pole as an orphan and grows up thinking he's an elf, creating all kinds of havoc due to his human size. He then heads to the New York to search for his true identity and ends up meeting his businessman father, before trying to strike up a relationship. Expect plenty of big belly ho-ho-hos, as well as, the more tender moments in one of Will Ferrel's finest films.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314331/?ref_=nv_sr_1" target="_blank">Love Actually</a></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Another rom com but this time, this follows the intertwined lives of different people leading up to Christmas Day, with one emotion connecting them all: love. There's loads of famous faces (including Hugh Grant, Bill Nighy, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Kiera Knightley, Alan Rickman; I could go on!)<i>,</i> twists, laughs and even a few teary moments; everything you'd want for a truly British Crimbo flick.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107688/?ref_=nv_sr_2" target="_blank">The Nightmare Before Christmas</a></i><br />
Some people may argue that this film is more for Halloween but it's one of my favourite Christmas films to watch and definitely falls in to my top 5. Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween Town, stumbles upon Christmas Town and falls in love with it - <i>try not getting 'What is This?' stuck in your head! </i>After kidnapping Santa Claus, he tries to do his own Christmas; until things go completely awry. If you love Tim Burton or slightly obscure movies, you'll certainly love this one and it's a great alternative to watch this Christmas.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0369436/?ref_=nv_sr_1" target="_blank">Four Christmases</a></i><br />
Some people love Christmas and others do not; this film follows how a couple who usually spend Christmas on vacation away from their crazy families, get stranded in the U.S. and have to visit their four divorced parents in one day. This one is a bucket full of emotions, laughs and love and is a definitely easy watch when curled up on the sofa with your loved one.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Highly Recommended</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are a couple of others that didn't quite make my 'top 5' cut but are still very much worth the watch: <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104940/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1" target="_blank">The Muppet Christmas Carol</a>, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099785/?ref_=nv_sr_1" target="_blank">Home Alone</a> and <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087363/?ref_=nv_sr_1" target="_blank">Gremlins</a>. All fun, family faves that are easy-to-watch!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What are your favourite Christmas films?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: inherit;">The leaves have changed colour, the nights are getting dark early and it’s rather chilly out there; winter is definitely on it’s way. </span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Despite always referring to myself as a sun-worshiper, winter is becoming my favourite season with each year that comes and for today’s post, here are some reasons why.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<ul>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Cosy clothes.</b> It’s time to crack out the over-sized/my boyfriend's jumpers, comfy leggings, boots, fluffy slippers, big coats, warm gloves and scarves. It’s time to cover up the skin and get cosy and cuddly – <i>my favourite.</i></span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Darker nights. </b>This is a weird one but I do love when the nights draw in quicker as it gets me in a really festive mood. Plus, it’s more of an excuse to snuggle up on the sofa with a blanket and watch Netflix!</span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Warm drinks. </b>Hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows…need I say more?!</span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Christmas.</b> My absolute favourite time of year and evidentially, my boyfriend’s birthday (he could be Jesus, who knows?!). Love, laughter, family, friends, presents, trees, decorations, an abundance of yummy food and drinks, Xmas songs and movies, joy and happiness; plus many more!</span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Wintery walks. </b>There’s nothing quite like getting some fresh and rather chilly air after being cooped up inside, especially when it’s a sunny winter’s day, simply bliss.</span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Bubble baths. </b>Bubble baths and I get on at any time of the year but during the summer, they tend to become cooler and I can’t soak in them as long as I like. When winter comes round however, a relaxing, hot bubble bath is <i>always </i>welcome.</span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Reading.</b> Again, reading can be done at any time this year but during the winter, cosying up with a hot chocolate, blanket and a lovely book (I adore Christmas-related novels, my guilty pleasures!) is an absolute weekend must!</span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Comfort food. </b>As much as I love salads and lighter meals in the summer, I feel no point in denying myself the yummy and filling food of winter. My body is being covered up by warmer clothes anyway, so who cares about the extra couple of pounds? Dark and cold nights are for warm and comforting foods and don’t even get me started on Christmas!</span></li>
<li style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: normal;"></span><b>Stormy weekends.</b> Miserable and cold outside? No worries, there’s no work so just head on back to bed and get under that toasty duvet.</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Right, I’m off to go for a walk…oh, <i>alright then</i>, another Netflix marathon.</span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; min-height: 10px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">What are your favourite things about winter? Let me know in the comments below.</span></div>

Now that my locks have been chopped, I want to ensure they don't end up in the sorry state they were in and this meant it was time to mix up my hair care routine; starting with shower products. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Enter: <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/en_GB/no-frizz-shampoo/MUK200006177.html" target="_blank">Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo</a> and <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/en_GB/no-frizz-conditioner/UK200006178.html" target="_blank">Conditioner</a>.<br />
<br />
Having read rave reviews online for the brand and this duo in particular, I had high hopes. The set boasts that they reduce frizz by blocking humidity without being heavy and leave your hair feeling soft and looking healthy, which was exactly what I was after. And did they deliver? <i>Absolutely!</i><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q-M_aQALhlI/VlWxUUoVI_I/AAAAAAAADzo/MRnTbZuWalw/s1600/IMG_6721.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q-M_aQALhlI/VlWxUUoVI_I/AAAAAAAADzo/MRnTbZuWalw/s1600/IMG_6721.jpg" /></a></i></div>
It's rare that I can say a product came through on it's promise but Living Proof really did; my hair feels soft, has less frizz and looks healthier than ever! I also particularly love the citrusy scent and the fact I can catch a whiff throughout the day too.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This really is a case of no frizz, no worries! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Have you tried any of Living Proof's haircare range?</div>

As much as I adore the look of white nails on others, I can never quite like it on myself. However, off-white colours are a whole different story and <a href="https://www.nailsinc.com/nail-polish/swan-street_249/" target="_blank">Nails Inc. 'Swan Street'</a> is the perfect example.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The colour is a beautiful mint-white that is perfect for winter and looks utterly sophisticated. The formula is as good as usual; though it does need three coats to give the full colour.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kzGc46jNgJs/VmL3HgOZQMI/AAAAAAAAD20/a_UAeU2KvWo/s1600/IMG_7194.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kzGc46jNgJs/VmL3HgOZQMI/AAAAAAAAD20/a_UAeU2KvWo/s1600/IMG_7194.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, if you're looking to add a touch of 'winter wonderland' to your outfit this season, definitely go for Nails Inc 'Swan Street' and wear on it's own or paired with a gorgeous glitter.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Do you like this colour? Have you tried Nails Inc polishes before?</div>
